QTD-S-T: Finishing Ball Nose
The QTD-S-T inserts are designed with very tight tolerances for light cuts in final finishing applications in the die and/or mould.
- The -S-T geometry is specially designed to work well on small, profiling cuts and to provide high dimensional tolerance and repeatability.
- The QTD-S-T comes paired to the H4115 grade which is suitable for high hardness materials making it ideal for die/mould finishing after hardening processes.
SMR Indexable Ball Mill
The SMR inserts are designed for rough to semi-finish milling for the profile/ball profile machining for die/moulds.
- The inserts come with a special interlocking backside profile which ensure secure fastening with the milling cutter pocket(s).
- It can operate at much higher cutting speeds, feeds & depth of cuts when compared to traditional solutions while bringing the cost effective nature of indexable tools to the machine shop. A definite must have for all die & mould shops.
